Thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about me. I've been the anchor of 10 News This Morning and 10 News at Noon since 2006. Early to bed and early to rise is my life, and I simply love it.
I feel fortunate to call the Bay area my home. The folks here are some of the friendliest you'll ever meet.
I'm from Charleston, South Carolina and come from a big family. How big you ask? I am the seventh of 15 kids. My parents were married for 57 years.
I have also lived in Indianapolis, Dallas and Washington, DC.
I love to travel. Some of my favorite vacation spots have been Africa, Spain and Greece.
But it's pretty cool living in a place where you feel like you're on vacation most of the time. Just don't tell the boss.
From the beautiful beaches to the bike trails, there is so much to do here especially if you love spending time outside. Just don't forget the sunscreen.
There's so much to discover here that sometimes I just hop in my car and simply explore. It never gets boring.
I've also discovered some of the best restaurants in the country are right in my back yard. I love seafood, so this is paradise.
I've covered just about every kind of story you can imagine, but my favorite ones are about people who prove over and over again the power and beauty of the human spirit.
I love telling stories about phenomenal teachers who go above and beyond the call of duty in the classroom. You are fantastic.
Wednesday's Child is also near and dear to my heart. Every child deserves a loving home and helping them find one is so fulfilling. Each week I learn something about these wonderful kids that makes me smile.
It's been a real blessing to have a career that allows me to experience some pretty terrific stuff and even win some awards along the way. But my favorite thing has been the opportunity to connect with the people who watch our newscast.
