Not many people can say they moved "up north" to the Tampa Bay area, but I did.
I joined the 10 News team in April 2010, after spending three years in the Fort Myers/Naples area at WBBH-TV. Before that I worked in my home state of Nebraska at KHAS-TV in Hastings.
Originally from Omaha, I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in Broadcasting.
I've been honored by the Associated Press in two states. In 2007, I received a "Top Investigative story" award in Nebraska, and in 2010 I received a "Best Continuing Coverage" award in Florida.
As you might imagine, I am a huge Nebraska Cornhuskers fan and even had the privilege of calling play by play for football and basketball games while in college.
When I'm not on the clock, you'll often find me catching some type of sporting event on TV. I love to root on the Chicago Cubs, but I am becoming a Tampa Bay Rays fan as well, even attending their win in Game 2 of the 2008 World Series at the Trop.
If you've got a story idea, or just want to talk news or sports feel free to drop me a line.
