St. Petersburg, Florida -- Some St. Petersburg city facilities will be closed to the public for the Memorial Day holiday next week. All residential trash pickup days remain the same during the holiday week of May 27 through 31.

St. Petersburg, Florida -- Looking for something fun to do with mom on Mother's Day? Practically Pikasso is letting moms paint free on Sunday, May 12th from noon to 6 pm. They're offering one free adult paint fee with a painting child of any age.

St. Petersburg, Florida -- Before you know it, the bell will ring for the last time and school will be out for the summer.

If you're looking for a way to keep you or your child entertained this summer during the break, check out Summer Art Camp at the Morean.

Classes begin June 10th, but registration is on a first come, first served basis, so you'll want to act fast.

St. Petersburg, Florida -- You can spend Mother's Day at the Rays for $15. Komen Suncoast will be at the Trop Sunday, May 12th as the Rays take on the Padres. They encourage you to wear pink. The deadline to order seats is May 3rd at 4 p.m., so act fast.

Rays launch first-ever interactive community report

St. Petersburg, Florida — Beginning on Wednesday, April 24, the Rays and the Rays Baseball Foundation will launch raysbaseball.com/communityreport, an entirely interactive, web-based report of the Rays and Rays Baseball Foundation’s community impact initiatives that took place over the 2012 calendar year.

The site serves as a comprehensive report that captures the combined efforts of the Rays organizational outreach programs with the efforts of the team’s charity, the Rays Baseball Foundation.

St. Petersburg, Florida -- To mark the St. Petersburg and Clearwater tourism industry's record-breaking year in 2012, the city is changing up Tourism Week Events for 2013.

Join in on the first-ever Tourism Tailgate, an informal event where the city will celebrate Tourism Week with a review of 2012's impressive stats, then share some examples of the rockin' creative  planned for the upcoming 100 Days of Summer to keep the momentum going.

The tailgate will take place at Ferg's Sports Bar and Grill at 4:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 12.
