Mayors team up to fight red light runners | News
St. Petersburg, FL -- Two Bay area mayors are teaming up in a new PSA to keep drivers from running red lights. Mayors Bill Foster and Bob Buckhorn are urging drivers to to take the 3 seconds before entering an intersection to make sure another driver isn't running a red light from the other direction.
St. Petersburg recently installed red light cameras in 10 intersections as part of Stop on Red. Tampa will be ramping up their efforts at the beginning of October.
