St. Petersburg, Florida -- The MLK Holiday Legacy Association Inc. presents the Gulf of St. Petersburg Black Legacy in America celebrating King Arts, Bandfest & Drumline Multi-Cultural Expo.

32nd Annual MLK HIGH SCHOOL ESSAY CONTEST FINALS - Thursday, Jan. 10
Eight Gibbs High School students make their final oratorical presentations in the contest featuring the theme, "How will I build upon Dr. King's legacy," at the Enoch Davis Center, 1111 18th Ave. S. at 7 p.m.
The eight students are Grace Worley, Jillian Gifford, Pamela Bulu, Bradley Mikesell II, Alyssa Coburn, Kaetlyn Garner, Miranda Hitzel, and Tommy Hansana.
Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
