Pumpkins go pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
St. Petersburg, Florida -- You may have noticed pumpkins aren't all coming in the standard orange at your local pumpkin patch. A portion of the pumpkin crop are raised pink to honor National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
A special seed from the Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation produces the color. The money from the seed goes to benefit breast cancer research.
