Tampa Electric customers claim $1M in solar rebates | News
Tampa, Florida -- Tampa Electric announced Monday customers claimed $1 million in rebates made available to help fund the installation of new PV systems at homes and businesses in 2013 -- all in just one minute.
The company says solar water heater rebates are still available on a first-come, first-serve basis to residential customers planning to install new solar water heater equipment (up to $1,000 per installation).
The company began accepting reservations online at tampaelectric.com/solarrebates at 10 a.m. today.
Customers can earn a retail credit for excess electricity generated by their PV systems. More information about customer-installed systems and net metering is available on the company's Renewable Energy program website at www.tampaelectric.com/renewable.
