Cops: Man strangles girlfriend during sex, not accidental | News
St. Petersburg, Florida-- Police amended Scott Greenberg's Manslaughter charge to Second Degree Murder today after receiving the results from Jennifer Zale's autopsy.
Police announced yesterday that Greenberg, 27, faced Manslaughter charges after he admitted to accidentally strangling his girlfriend to death during sex.
He claimed it happened when she willingly participated in sexual asphyxia, during which he "placed his hands around her neck and squeezed," reports say.
The autopsy, conducted by the Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office, reportedly revealed additional injuries to Zale's body, consistent with continuous and intentional homicide violence.
