County Commissioners welcome RNC 2012 to Tampa Bay area | News
With the 2012 Republican National Convention scheduled to begin with a gala event at Tropicana Field this Sunday, Pinellas County Commissioners extend a welcome to the delegates, dignitaries, visitors and media coming to enjoy the festivities.
The event will place the entire Tampa Bay region in the international spotlight as the GOP formally names its presidential candidate for the November 2012 general election. In addition to the political business of the agenda, numerous activities are planned for the area, featuring the region’s unique vistas and cultural activities.
While the additional visitors will bring a tremendous economic impact, residents can expect the activity to create some travel challenges.
