Pinellas County, Florida -- The Pinellas County Health Department has announced an active case of tuberculosis has been reported in an adult employee of Pinellas County Schools.
The school has been notified and is working with the health department to notify students and staff involved. A second notification will be sent to parents and staff if additional testing needs to be conducted.
The health department has not yet released the name of the school involved.
The Pinellas County Health Department says it will provide TB testing at no charge to students and staff starting Monday, July 30. For more information about testing locations, call the Pinellas County Health Department at (727) 824-6932.
