Another Pinellas deputy suspended
News

Clearwater, Florida -- Another Pinellas County Sheriff's deputy is facing suspension. Over the past several months, 11 deputies in the department have been fired, forced to resign or suspended.

Pinellas Sheriff Bob Gualtieri says Deputy Arthur McSorley's actions could have placed victims of crimes at risk. An internal affairs investigation found McSorley failed to do a follow-up on a felony stalking case, a spouse battery case, and a case involving lewd and lascivious behavior on a child.

McSorley, who was case agent on all three incidents, admits he did not follow up and that could have put people at risk.

He'll receive a seven-day suspension without pay for his actions, which is another black eye on the Sheriff's Office. In recent months, narcotics detectives were either fired or forced to resign over allegations of trespassing and four deputies were fired for loafing on the job.
