Sample ballot for August 14 Primary Election available online

Pinellas County, Florida -- Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark announces that the official sample ballot for the August 14 Primary Election is available online.

Florida is a “closed primary” state; only voters registered with a political party are eligible to vote in that party’s primary. All registered voters may vote in nonpartisan races, including judicial and school board races.

“The official sample ballot includes all contests for the Republican and Democratic primaries as well as nonpartisan contests,” Clark said. “Voters may check their new voter information cards to confirm their political parties, voting districts and precincts.”

Voters have until July 16 to change their political parties in order to be valid for this election.

In addition to sample ballots, mail ballot updates, ballot dropoff locations, canvassing board schedule, polling places and other election information are available at www.votepinellas.com.
