Free physicals offered for athletics students | News

Gulfport, Florida -- If you have any children playing sports this summer, they can get a free physical exam starting today.

The physicals are offered at Northeast High School in St. Petersburg and and Boca Ciega High School in Gulfport. These are open to all students from Kindergarten through 12th grade, even if your child doesn't attend that school.      

The free physicals will be offered until August 10, but you'll need to make an appointment. Hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Another school clinic at Gibbs High School is offering physicals, but that applies only to students enrolled at that school and their families, and only goes on until July 12.

Clinic locations are:

Gibbs High School Clinic, 850 34th St. St., St. Petersburg. Until July 12 for Gibbs students and their families only. Call (727) 893-5452, ext. 2208, to make an appointment.

Northeast High School Clinic, 5500 16th St. N., St. Petersburg. Until Aug. 10 for any student to 12th grade. Call (727) 570-3025 to make an appointment.

Boca Ciega High School Clinic, 924 58th St. S., Gulfport. Until Aug. 10 for any student to 12th grade. Call (727) 893-2780, ext. 2199, to make an appointment.
