1 arrested for robbery, attempted murder | News
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- A man has been arrested after police say he robbed and beat a person for their backpack.
According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, the unidentified victim was found lying on the ground in Williams Park with severe upper body trauma.
Witnesses identified the suspect as 39-year-old Watson Haynes. He was arrested and charged with attempted homicide.
The victim was taken to Bayfront Medical Hospital and treated for life-threatening injuries.
