Authorities say Kevin Daly, of St. Petersburg, was fishing by the bridge when the car crashed into the water. Gus Hertz, from Roanoke Virginia, also witnessed the crash with his wife from his condo window. Hertz ran down to help Daly rescue the victim trapped in the BMW.
Deputies say Provias suffered from a medical issue which caused him to travel off the road just before the bridge and over the sea wall. He was treated and transported in stable condition to Palms of Pasadena Hospital.
