ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- As GOP presidential hopefuls continue to stump for votes ahead of Florida's Republican Primary, the Obama campaign kicked things off in St. Petersburg.
On Saturday, the campaign's Pinellas office officially opened along Central Avenue. It drew hundreds of volunteers who will be making phone calls and going door-to-door to drum up support for President Obama. This is the 11th office in the state.
Meanwhile, Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich each made several stops in Florida. Romney focused on the Panhandle, while Gingrich visited the Treasure Coast, Central Florida, and West Palm Beach.
On Sunday, Romney is scheduled to make stops in South Florida. Gingrich is set to visit the Bay area in Lutz, The Villages, and Jacksonville.
Florida's primary is on Tuesday.
