Admiral Farragut takes district lead with 36-29 win over Carrollwood Day

St. Petersburg, Florida - Colby Robinson threw for four touchdown passes, three to Brad Hyman-Muhammad, to lead the Admiral Farragut Blue Jackets past the Carrollwood Day School Patriots 36-29.  

With the win, the Blue Jackets (5-0, 3-0) remain undefeated and take control of district 2A-5.

The loss drops the Patriots (4-1, 2-1) into second place in district play.

Northeast rallies in 2nd half to beat St. Pete, 22-17

St. Petersburg, FL-- Northeast High rallied in the 2nd half to beat St. Petersburg High, 22-17, at John M. Sexton Field.

Northeast sophomore quarterback, Ryan Davis, ran for 2 touchdowns and passed for a 3rd.  The passing touchdown, 45 yards to Jalin Hubbard in the 3rd quarter, gave the Vikings a lead they would not lose.  Davis rushed for 116 yards, and passed for another 131 yards.

The Vikings' defense shut out the Green Devils in the 2nd half, to remain undefeated at 4-0.

 

Northeast gets by Boca Ciega 12-6

St. Petersburg - Northeast quarterback Ryan Davis threw for two long scores to lead the Vikings past the Boca Ciega Pirates 12-6.

The Vikings are 3-0 for the first time since 2007. The 0-2 Pirates are still looking for their first win of the young season.

Tampa Catholic runs past St Petersburg Catholic 48-0

St. Petersburg - Tampa Catholic scored touchdowns on their first three possessions, controlling both sides of the ball, with a 48-0 district 3A-5 victory.

The Crusaders (3-0, 1-0) racked up more than 400 yards on offense while their defense limited the Barons (2-1, 0-1), playing without injured running back Ryan Green, to only 70 total yards.  

Tampa Catholic quarterback Kyle Ploucher completed 12-17 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns.

Gibbs rallies in 4th quarter to beat Lennard

St. Petersburg, FL- Gibbs HS rallied with 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter, to beat Lennard, 28-18.

Lennard led 12-8 entering the 4th quarter, when Gibbs QB Patric Jones accounted for all 3 touchdowns in the final stanza.  Jones ran for a 47-yard touchdown, and passed for 2 long TD's.
