St. Petersburg, Fla. -- Apparently, Rayshawn Jenkins is the difference for Admiral Farragut against Canterbury. Jenkins scored thee touchdowns to help the Blue Jackets knock off their district rival 38-24.
Canterbury beat AFA 12-10 in the regular season matchup, but Jenkins missed the game with an injury.
The Blue Jackets led 31-21 in the fourth quarter when Jenkins broke free for a 75-yard touchdown run that sealed the win for AFA. Jenkins scored on touchdown runs of 11 and 3 yards to give AFA a 14-0 lead.
But Canterbury rallied behind the duo of quarterback Jake Holsinger and wide receiver DaSean Thomas, who connected for scores of 53 and 14 yards to tie it at 14-14.
Admiral Farragut will host Glades Day in a Class 2A state semifinal.
