Travel vaccines now available at Mid-County Health Center | Health
Largo, Florida -- If exotic travel plans are part of your summer itenerary, the Pinellas County Health Department is offering vaccines to make sure you are up-to-date before you pack your bags.
The Pinellas County Health Department is providing foreign travel vaccines at its new Mid-County Health Center, located at 8751 Ulmerton Road in Largo. Foreign travel vaccines used to be available at the St. Petersburg and Clearwater health centers, but now they are only available at the Largo location.
All vaccine services are on a walk-in basis and no appointments are required. For information about hours and availability, call 727-524-4410.
The CDC provides Health Information for Travelers pages that includes health alerts, recommended vaccines and precautions at http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/. A drop-down menu allows travelers the option of checking the alerts for each country on their itenerary.
All Pinellas County Health Department centers will continue to provide free childhood immunizations and adult immunizations for a fee at its other locations.
