Morean to unveil glass holiday tree

St. Petersburg, FL -- The Morean Arts Center will unveil its glass holiday tree and holiday windows on Saturday, November 12 during the Second Saturday Gallery Walk.

There will be music, Salon30 new exhibits, a family holiday portrait studio, hands on fun, free glass blowing demonstrations in the Hot Shop and more.

It's part of the launch of Home for the Holidays at the Morean and Holiday Windows on Central. The Glass Studio and Hot Shop will provide continuous complimentary demonstrations throughout the evening and pre-wrapped gift items are available in the retail store.

St. Petersburg, FL -- Country sensation Martina McBride performed at Demens Landing in St. Petersburg as part of a fundraiser for the City of St. Pete: Mayors Mentors & More scholarship programs, which has funded more than 1,100 four-year scholarships for at-risk students over the past ten years.

 from 12 - 4 p.m. in North Shore Park near North Shore Drive NE and 14th Ave NE

HONNA has scheduled activities and games with prizes, entertainment and music

BungalowFest Benefit for the Children's Cancer Center

This year’s famous Historic Kenwood’s BungalowFest will include a Designer Show Home to benefit the Children's Cancer Center, a Tampa Bay non-profit whose mission is helping children with cancer and chronic blood disorders.

A Gala Preview Party and fundraiser will be held at the Designer Show Home on Friday, Nov 4 from 6 pm-9:30 pm to celebrate the beginning of "BungalowFest - A Celebration of Art and Architecture." The Gala will include a preview Show Home tour, a designer meet-and-greet, and a catered bounty of delicious treats and beverages. Only 300 tickets are available for the Gala Preview Party and also include admission to the homes on the BungalowFest Home Tour on Saturday.

St. Petersburg, FL -- Get a front-row seat for one-on-one conversation with Mayor Bill Foster, city staff and City Council Member Jeff Danner during the final Mayor's Night Out' of the year, Thursday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. The event will be held at Gladden Park Center located at 3901 30th Ave. N.

You're invited to ask questions or share thoughts and ideas with the mayor, city leaders  and council members during the informal setting, regardless of where they live. Residents are also encouraged to discuss issues they may have with city departments for possible resolution.

Walk for farm animals at Fort DeSoto in Pinellas

Tierra Verde, Florida - Farm Sanctuary's Walk for Farm Animals is a series of annual fundraising and outreach events that take place in cities across the United States and Canada.

The event brings together people concerned about the condition and practices of factory farming.

In the Tampa Bay area, The Walk on Nov. 5, at 9 a.m. will raise money for The Farm Sanctuary's work.

The location is Fort DeSoto Park, Shelter 12 in Tierra Verde, in South Pinellas County.
