Former St. Pete Mayor Rick Baker keynote speaker at Tampa Downtown Development Forum | Events

Tampa, Florida -- The Downtown Tampa Partnership is sponsoring the 15th annual Downtown Development Forum from 7:30 a.m. to 12 noon on March 18 at the Hyatt Regency 211 North Tampa Street in Downtown Tampa.  

This event focuses on the exploration of innovative ideas in urban development and serves as a catalyst for discussion and problem solving for major urban issues in Downtown Tampa.   

Each year hundreds of people from the business and development community along with professionals from the public, private and non-profit sectors; property owners and those interested in downtown attend this event.  

The featured speaker is former St. Petersburg Mayor, Rick Baker, now the Director for USF Innovation Partnerships. Well-known for his role in revitalization efforts, St. Petersburg Mayor Baker's priorities while in office were supporting schools; improving the city's neighborhoods; ensuring public safety; enhancing the efficiency of city government and promoting economic development in the urban core.       

The event will also include a Panel Discussion on Current Downtown Development Efforts
