620 WDAE The Sports Animal kicks off new morning show | Entertainment

Tampa, Florida-- Clear Channel and 620 WDAE announced today that Tom Jones and Rick Stroud will host the new morning show, beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, May 22. 

Clear Channel released the following information this afternoon: 

Jones and Stroud will provide full Tampa Bay sports coverage weekday mornings from 6 - 9 a.m.

“Tom Jones and Rick Stroud are Tampa Bay sports experts and we’re excited to have them host mornings on 620 WDAE,” said Sam Nein, President and Market Manager, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Tampa. “Their wealth of knowledge, relationships and history in the market will make mornings on 620 WDAE the place for Tampa Bay sports fans to start their
day.”

Jones and Stroud are Tampa Bay sports veterans and longtime writers for the Tampa Bay Times.  Jones has been writing for Tampa Bay newspapers for more than 25 years.  He
has been with the Tampa Bay Times since 2003, with previous stints from 1987-1991 and 1996-2000.  Stroud is a Tampa Bay native.  He has been with the Tampa Bay Times for more than 20 years, covering the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Florida Gators.
