St. Pete Beach Police could make an appearance in "Spring Breakers" movie | Entertainment

Based on a couple of tweets last night from Spring Breakers stars Selena Gomez and Ashley Benson... it looks like a couple of St. Pete Police officers and vehicles could have a small role in the movie.  The stars tweeted out pictures near a St. Pete Beach Police car.

We talked to St. Pete Beach Police and they say movie producers approached them about hiring their officers for the movie. They wanted the officers, in uniform, with their vehicles.

Spring Breakers is about 4 college girls who finance their trip by robbing a restaurant. They get arrested and then bailed out by a drug dealer. The movie stars Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Rachel Korine, and Ashley Benson. The movie was written and is being directed by Harmony Korine, who also wrote and directed "Kids" and "Gummo".
