Largo, Florida -- A medical crew was called to a Pinellas County courtroom after Thomas Lafoe complained of flu-like symptoms. He's accused of killing his St. Petersburg neighbor, stage actor and teacher Jeff Norton.

The jail's nursing supervisor ruled out flu. Lafoe's been refusing to take his diabetes medicine.

After finding he was healthy enough to continue, two detectives and a homicide sergeant testified Lafoe's story kept changing each time they interview him.

They said during the third interview, he admitted he was forced at gunpoint by a crack dealer named "Fresh" to beat up Norton.

An inmate who spent time with Lafoe says he described how it all went down, and claims Lafoe also told other inmates how he killed Norton.

Lafoe is slated to testify on Friday. Then, we can expect closing arguments.
