Actor's friend testifies in case against Thomas Lafoe | Crime
Largo, Florida -- An assistant state attorney described a gruesume scene for a Pinellas County jury Wednesday in the case against against Thomas Lafoe.
She says Lafoe admitted to investigators he beat his neighbor Jeff Norton with a sword, put a towel over his head, and wrapped a cord around his neck. The stage actor and teacher was killed in his Saint Petersburg home two years ago.
Two of Norton's friends found him with a cord around his neck and blood splattered in his living room.
Rosemary Orlando, Norton's friend for more than 30 years, described what she saw as she walked into Norton's home, telling jurors she thought at first Norton had been strangled and she could tell his skin didn't look right.
Investigators found Norton's wallet in Lafoe's home and they say he was seen on surveillance tape using Norton's credit card.
