Purse snatchers buy gaming equipment at Walmart | Crime
St. Petersburg, Florida -- St. Pete Police are looking for a pair of purse snatchers who robbed a woman May 11 and then used her credit cards to buy video gaming equipment from a Walmart.
Detectives say the 72-year-old woman was walking in the area of The El Cap Restaurant on 4th Street North when the black male grabbed her purse from behind. He then fled with a white male to a nearby waiting vehicle, possibly a dark-colored 1980's sedan, with two others inside.
Shortly after, the two men used her credit cards at the Walmart on 34th Street N and the Walgreens in the 3000 block of Central Avenue.
The first suspect is described as a white male in his early 20's, 5'5" - 5'8", 150 pounds and was last seen wearing a Miami Heat baseball cap, black T-shirt and white shorts.
The second suspect is described as a black male in his early 20's, 5'8" - 5'10", 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a black tank top, dark shorts and flip flops.
