Developer sends stadium proposal to Mayor Foster

ST. PETERSBURG, Florida - A Pinellas County developer with significant holdings in the Carillon area, off Ulmerton Rd, has sent a letter to Mayor Bill Foster indicating a baseball stadium could fit there on an available 12-acre parcel.

Chris East, president of CityScape LLC, wrote Foster that "we care deeply about the (c)ity and are troubled by the ongoing dispute and widening deadlock between the (c)ity and the Rays."

He indicated his company had done extensive research on a stadium at Carillon, including "work from experts in stadium design, demographics and traffic analysis which will be provided to support our proposal."

Eastman is looking to meet with city council and Mayor Foster as early as next week.
