St. Pete Beach -- The St. Pete Beach Recreation Division and the Friends of St. Pete Beach civic group are excited to bring back the very popular "Music in the Afternoon" event, free and open to all.

The first event of 2012 will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the St. Pete Beach Community Center and Aquatic Complex, 7701 Boca Ciega Drive, with events also scheduled for March, April, and May.

DRC approves new microbrewery

DRC approves new microbrewery

St. Petersburg, FL – During the monthly meeting of the Development Review Commission on Wed., Feb. 1, seven cases were presented for quasi-judicial review.  Six were approved unanimously by the DRC, with only one, a request for a sign variance, passing, but without a unanimous vote.  Staff had recommended against approving the variance, but the DRC overrode the staff recommendation.

The other presentations had all been recommended for approval by City staff and were unanimously approved by the Development Review Commissioners.

A joint meeting of the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners and Business Technology Services will be held on Monday, Feb. 6, at 9:30 a.m. The public will have an opportunity to speak during the Citizens Comments portion of the meeting.

The meeting will be held at Pinellas County Communications, 333 Chestnut St., Clearwater, in Studio B.
